Founder interview: 77db App
Question 1: What was the main reason to build the 77db App
Answer: Many Dhaka users wanted a very simple thing - hassle-free access. We started with that in mind; from the start the goal was to avoid keeping unnecessary things on the screen.
Another aspect was to have trust, login, app introduction, and team information all in one place; that's what we decided so new users understand what they'll get in a few minutes.
Question 2: What is the most important step in the brand story?
Answer: Started in 2015 with a small team; since then the focus has been on understanding local habits—how Bangladesh users hold phones and when they open the app, we observed.
Here, bKash, Nagad, and Rocket are treated separately because many people in Dhaka want to quickly keep their accounts in order; from this reality the support flow was created.
Question 3: Mission in one line?
Answer: Simple, clear, and secure experience; the 77db Platform is designed so that what the user is doing is understood at first glance, completing tasks in few steps is a top priority.
We want people to stay in control, so information, access, and guidelines are in plain language; no unnecessary pressure, and no unnecessary words.
Question 4: What is the team's work style?
Answer: The team is small but focused on design, content, and support; each part is looked at separately, so mistakes are reduced, and updates come quickly.
Weekly reviews determine where users are stuck; we adjust accordingly. Dhaka's real usage and the habits of other cities in the country are both prioritized.
Question 5: What is the most important advice for new users?
Answer: Read the introduction first, then download the APK. The 77db APK is kept light, so it won't burden the phone; then login to 77db and adjust your settings.
You don't have to figure everything out on the first day; taking it slow makes it easier to understand, and if you have any questions there is support on the Contact page.
